FAQ'S
Can I use your art?
For personal use, like pfps, banners, and edits, YES WITH CREDIT!!! However I do not tolerate reposts of my work onto other platforms or services.
What program do you use?
Depends! I use procreate, photoshop, and toon boom harmony for most of my animation work :D
What tablet do you use?
I use the XP Pen 19 in screen tablet. The company itself has sales very often and has good prices for quality tablets. For procreate, I've got an ipad air 13 in.
What should I get to draw on?
There are pros and cons to getting an ipad or screen tablet. An ipad, with the one-time purchase of procreate, is a very powerful and capable device that industry professionals have started incorporating into their pipelines. It's portable, and the art programs that you'd buy on it will never be too expensive or bought on a trial basis. Unfortunately, it's apple. and apple sucks. Procreate also has a terrible file recovery system as your files don't exist anywhere outside of the procreate app. If your ipad decides its done and pulls the plug and you don't have anything backed up? All your files are gone.Screen tablets on the other hand are even More powerful and used more commonly in the industry. With a computer of course, you'll be able to run much heftier programs, such as photoshop, harmony, or blender. You also have the added convenience of customizeable keybinds. You have many more options with screen size and display quality. Unfortunately they do get expensive, and like most softwares you'll have to pay a good amount of money to buy an art program that's worthwhile. Also not very portable. If I had to recommend a company to buy from though, I'd suggest XP Pen or Huion. They both have sales all the time and you can get a good tablet without selling both your arms.
How did you learn to animate?
I dabbled a bit as a kid and kind of just. Watched a bunch of animation and broke it down to just, faster = less frames, slower = more frames. After that I went into a 2D animation program to learn more of the principles and got to work with some awesome professors and industry professionals. Honest to god though, just search up a youtube video and Actually pay attention to the principles they talk about, after that, just make random things move.
